Springwell School bus 508 given a reprieve.

Negotiations to save the Barrow Hill and Mastin Moor school bus have been successful. Both the County Council and the School have pledged to support this bus until at least May half term.

It`s over to you now...the student fare will be £1.00 each way, as with the other Springwell buses. We need people to use the service to ensure its survival.

The times of the 508 will remain as they are at present

Schools Service Withdrawals

From 30th March 2012 the subsidy for many Derbyshire home to school services has been withdrawn. As a result, TM Travel will no longer be able to operate many of these services as they will no longer be financially viable without support from the County Council. Look in the bus times section of the website under "schools" to see which services are affected.

Most Springwell School Buses Saved ........For now!

After working closely with Springwell School TM Travel have come up with a plan to save most of the Springwell buses, for now at least.

The future of them is up to you......they will need to be used!

The new times are in the bus times section of the website under "schools". There will be a flat fare of £1 each way for students on these services.

Please note that Service 508 (Barrow Hill/Mastin Moor-Springwell School) is not yet included. Discussions between TM Travel, Springwell school and Derbyshire County Council are still ongoing to see if any of this service can be retained.

New Derbyshire Timetables available in our bus times section

 from 25th March 2012 there will be some changes to some Derbyshire services, summarized below:

Services 14/15- 1812 ex Holmesfield will run to Marsh Lane instead of Chesterfield

Services 65/66- Some journeys on Service 66/66A withdrawn. (Some replaced by other operators, see Derbyshire County Council website for details of these, details will be published when available). See the bus times section of our website for journeys still operated by TM Travel

Service 95- Some previously supported journeys withdrawn

Service 109- 1820 journey will be retimed to 1800.

Service 110-4- Some peak hour journeys withdrawn in school holidays due to lack of patronage.

Service 214- 0900 Sheffield-Matlock journey re timed to 0925, some changes to late afternoon journeys on Saturdays which will make the times similar to Mondays-Fridays. see timetable for full details.

Revised fares in Operation

From Saturday 14th January 2012 revised fares will be in operation. On many routes these have been changed to be as close to the fares of the daytime operators.

Although some fares have decreased, we realize that more have increased. However, the prices of Yo-Yo daily, weekly and ten trip tickets have been held.

It is the first fares revision on most of our services for a year and a quarter.
